Enhancing Puglia’s cultural and economic attractiveness

Puglia Culture supports the development of the entertainment industry and thecultural and creative sectors, assisting artistic, technical, and entrepreneurialprofessionals working in the region. Activities include training courses, seminars, meetings, publications, and projects that combine cultural promotion with economicdevelopment, particularly in tourism.

These initiatives aim to strengthen the region’s appeal and showcase its culturaland environmental attractions through live entertainment, performing arts, andcultural events.

Puglia Culture is a partner in theSEEDSProject– Strengthening Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Sustainably in the South Adriatic Area – fundedby the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Program 2021–2027.

The project addresses a common challenge in the Southern Adriatic region: the need to strengthen the cultural and creative sector, particularly in the areas of the performing arts, events, and exhibitions, especially with regard to cross-border production and distribution, by incorporating a more entrepreneurial and market-oriented approach. The project aims to bridge the lack of synergy between creativity, culture, and business by strengthening the entrepreneurial capacities of SMEs in the creative and cultural sector and improving dialogue between them and public administrations, which often lack the tools to identify qualified event organizers. The project involves a series of integrated actions: from developing a common strategy to support the sector—including fiscal measures—to creating a community of practice among cultural operators and local stakeholders; from launching a training program for cultural enterprises, supported by a cross-border helpdesk, to implementing concrete experimentation through pilot initiatives in the participating regions.
