Tremiti Music Festival

Three days of music and nature off the coast of Gargano

Promoted by the Puglia Region and the Municipality of the Tremiti Islands, andorganised by Puglia Sounds – Puglia Culture as part of the Puglia SoundsPugliapromozione programme, the Tremiti Music Festival is a three-day event heldon the Tremiti Islands.

 It was launched in 2018 under the artistic direction ofRoberto Ottaviano.

EDITIONS

2024 – VII Edition

From 29 to 31 August 2024, the festival featured Nada, Dirotta su Cuba, MalikaAyane, and Susanna Stivali. Promoted by the Puglia Region – TourismDepartment with Pugliapromozione and Consorzio Puglia Culture (funded by POCPuglia 2014/20 Axis VI – Action 6.8) in collaboration with the Municipality of theTremiti Islands, the festival combines music and nature in the pristine setting of theTremiti Islands.

Four female voices come together once again to celebrate the union of music and nature against the pristine backdrop of the Tremiti Islands.

The sixth edition of the festival featured concerts, exhibitions, talks, screenings, and concerts with Giovanni Chimienti, Gino Castaldo, Lisa Manosperti, La Banda di Porto Rubino&Friends, Forthyto, Giuseppe Bassi&Joanna Teters, Karima, Costanza Alegiani Folkways, and Francesco Bearzatti. In addition to the evening concerts, the program has been expanded to include a daily screening of the documentary The Hidden Treasure of the Tremiti Islands. An exhibition with the same title outdoors The sixth edition included concerts, exhibitions, talks, screenings, andperformances by Giovanni Chimienti, Gino Castaldo, Lisa Manosperti, LaBanda di Porto Rubino & Friends, Forthyto, Giuseppe Bassi & Joanna Teters,Karima, Costanza Alegiani Folkways, and Francesco Bearzatti. Dailyscreenings of the documentary The Hidden Treasure of the Tremiti Islandscomplemented an open-air exhibition showcasing scientific research by GiovanniChimienti, leading to the discovery of a black coral forest.

San Domino Islandhosted an exhibition linked to the Italian Sustainability Photo Award (ISPA),highlighting sustainability-focused photography.

Dedicated to Lucio Dalla on the tenth anniversary of his death, the festivalcelebrated the artist’s legacy through performances by Renzo Rubino, Roy Paci,Serena Brancale, Rob Luft, Elina Duni, Stefano Di Battista Quartet, and others.Installations included In Their Great Sea by Nicola Genco on San Domino Island.

The fourth edition featured performances including Coracao Vagabundo, GegèTelesforo 4et, I Who Love Only You – The Voices of Genoa, and the JoeBarbieri Trio, among others.

Performances included Vinicio Capossela: Pandemonium, Raffaele Casarano &Mirko Signorile “D’Amour”, Armstrong & The Moonwalkers “Loving theStarman”, and Mario Rosini Trio.

Artists included Marchin’ Band, Tosques Scannapieco Quartet, Oxymoron, RitaMarcotulli & Israel Varela, and Roberto Ottaviano Eternal Love, among others.

The inaugural edition featured ZiroBop, Cronache a 68 giri, Francesco Carofiglio& Chelsea Hotel, Alberto Parmegiani Quartet, Sarah Jane Morris Trio,
Melodico, and Nicola Conte & Spiritual Galaxy, performing across San Nicolaand San Domino Islands.
