The Cultural Association Rhymers’ Club was founded in September 2004 bypoets Dimitri Fulignati and Niro Raffaele, with the conviction that art can serveas a tool for social promotion and awareness-raising on issues not yet fullyembraced by public opinion. At the same time, the association views art—and literature in particular—as ameans of promoting local tourism. In this spirit, it created two festivals in theProvince of Foggia: DauniaPoesia (est. 2010), centred in San Severo, andJunno. Piccolo Festival del Rione (est. 2016), held in the historic centre ofMonte Sant’Angelo.Through these initiatives, especially DauniaPoesia, the association hasconsistently promoted literary culture across the province.
